Zero Tolerance

We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Any patient (including family/friends or carers) attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.

All incidents of violence, crime, aggression, or threatening behaviour will be thoroughly discussed with the persons involved and the GP partners.

If violence or crime/deception are involved, the patient will be removed from our list without warning and given eight days to register with a new GP.

If an incident involves agressive and/or threatening behaviour, the patient will receive a warning. If the behaviour continues, the patient will be removed from the practice list after having been given eight days to register with a new GP.
